Eoghan Murphy
2nd year Student
Eoghan got off to a bad start last September when he broke his ankle but being placed 4th in last year's World Dancing Competition, he had already qualified for this year's competition. Over the Easter holidays Eoghan travelled to Philadelphia where he competed with great skill and panache and was thrilled to be awarded 3rd place.
A student of Mona Nì Rodaigh in Scoil Rince he began dancing at the age of two and a half. His dancing teacher said he never walked, he always danced! Eoghan also holds a European title and Ulster Title.
Eoghan plays music and last year won the under 15 Piano Accordion and Fiddle competitions at the Louth Fleadh. He has been awarded grants under the Dundalk Town Council Arts Bursaries.
Eoghan's brother Damian, another talented Irish dancer is also past pupil of De La Salle College.
