World Book Day 2010

Library

World Book Day, Thursday March 5th, was marked by a number of events in the school library including a "Design a Book Mark" competition and a "Murder in the Library".
There were a large number of entries for the design a bookmark competition and the high standard of entries made choosing a winner difficult. After some deliberation the art teacher, Mr. Gallagher awarded the prizes as follows:

1st Place: Cillian Mulligan 1F
2nd place Aaron McMahon 2O
3rd place: Michael Nairn 2L

The winning entries are going forward into a national competition being run by National Book Tokens.
Murder in the library involved students finding the answers to a series of clues in order to solve a murder mystery. Answers were found amongst different resources available in the library and the winners were

Shane Dunne 1F
Oisín McBride 1F
Mark Shields 5A2.
