Trip to Paris
15th February - 18th February 2009

We left the Dela at 3 a.m on Sunday morning to catch a 7.50 flight to Paris. It was difficult getting up so early but we were all excited and looking forward to the next few days. We arrived in Paris around 10a.m. so we had the whole day ahead of us. We went on a tour around the city and visited l'Arc de Triumphe. Before heading to our hotel we had some time to roam around ourselves.

On the second day we left the hotel at 8.30 a.m. and climbed all 668 steps of the Eiffel Tower before getting the lift to the top. The view was fantastic. Next we were off to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. It was easy to spot, it was the painting with the crowds of people around it! I have to admit I was alittle disappointed in it. It wasn't as impressive as I thought it would be and it was also alot smaller than I thought. A busy Monday was topped off with a boat trip down the Seine. (Be warned if you fall in you are "insane"!).

We spent Tuesday in Disneyland. I enjoyed this day the most! If you go to Disneyland you have to go on the Space Mountain ride. It is fantastic! We had dinner that evening in Planet Hollywood.

Wednesday was our last day. We packed up our stuff and left the hotel early. En route to the airport we visited Stade de France and had some free time to shop for gifts and souveniers.

There were two other schools on the plane home one from Galway and one from Wexford. The Galway school got everyone on the plane to sing "Galway Girl" which made the flight abit more fun.
We were all exausted by the time we reached Dundalk late Wednesday night. It was a great trip that I think everyone (even the teachers!) enjoyed. We're looking forward to next years trip already!
