Jake Byrne 6A3 is Clay-Pigeon Shooting Champion!

Jake Byrne of 6A3 represented the Republic of Ireland at the Home-nations Clay-pigeon Shooting Championships in Wales during the weekend of September 23rd, 2011. He participated in the U21 section of the competition along with two other team-mates from Dublin. Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales battled it out on Saturday 23rd in the Team events & Ireland led by our own Jake took the top title. The victory was made all the sweeter as it was the first time in 30 years that England had been defeated by any of the home nations, an honour that fell to Jake & his erstwhile Irish team-mates.

On Sunday 24th the individual events took place & Jake once again did Dundalk & Ireland proud when he took first place in the Junior & Class C categories. He picked up a cheque for 100 pounds and of course the prestige of such glorious titles.
