Liam had another magnificent year on the badminton court despite recent injury. His titles in 2010 and 2011 include U17 Leinster Closed Singles, Doubles and Mixed champion 2010 for which he received the Evening Herald Sports Star of the Week award in January 2011; The Spring Open U18 Singles and Doubles champion and semi-finalist in the National Championships in singles, doubles and mixed competitions.

Liam was also one of four Irish players to be selected to participate in the European Summer School in Austria in 2010, a rare honour indeed.
