We are delighted to announce that Ciaran Byrne of 6A1 has just signed a contract with a hugely successful Australian rules football team in Melbourne known as the Carlton Blues.

Ciaran's 'Rookie Contract' will commence in 2013 one year after he sits his Leaving Certificate. In the meantime Ciaran is scheduled to travel to Australia this summer to train with his future team-mates and familiarise himself with his new hometown. He also plans to start college next year and continue his studies in Australia in 2013.

Ciaran has remained tight-lipped in relation to his remuneration but suffice is to say that he wont want for anything while he's downunder over the two year duration of this wonderful contract. Good luck Ciaran and we know you will do us proud in Oz!
