Thanks to all who helped with our Open Day. We hope that all the primary school students and their parents enjoyed their visit.
Every year, the Lasallian family around the world dedicates a month to the theme of peace, from 21st September - 21st October. During this time, as Lasallians we are invited to pray for peace - within ourselves, in our families and communities and in the World. It is a theme that becomes more relevant each year. At this very moment, news from various parts of the world remind us how urgent the need for peace is and how important it is for us to work for peace - starting in our inner circles and reaching out when opportunities to be peacemakers present themselves.
With that in mind let us join with Lasallians all round the world in praying the Lasallian prayer for Peace.

Remember ‘Probe’, the College Magazine & Yearbook?
We are trying to locate copies of Probe Magazine for our archives – Probe 1 was published in the early 1980’s & continued until Probe 15 in 1992. We have copies of the magazine from Probe 16 onwards.
If you have a copy of any of the issues of Probe 1-15 in the attic, or an old bookcase somewhere, we would be very grateful if you could donate or loan the copy to us – we would scan the magazine & return it to you in pristine condition, with our undying gratitude!!

DFP Pension and Investment Consultants are delighted to launch their inaugural DFP Dundalk Business Bursary in collaboration with the following schools:
Colaiste Ris - De La Salle College - Dundalk Grammar School - O’Fiaich College - St Louis Secondary School - St Marys College - St Vincent’-s Secondary School
The bursary will provide one successful student from each of the seven Dundalk schools with €1,000 towards the costs of going to college and studying business. Each school will select a pupil who best fits the criteria for the business bursary and all successful recipients will receive their bursary at their schools award night.
DFP Pension and Investment Consultants, with offices in Dundalk and Dublin, are considered one the leading financial advisory firms operating in the Irish Market with client funds under management in excess of €250 million.
Speaking at the launch of the bursary, Eoin Doohan Managing Director of DFP Group commented:
“Within DFP we have an active culture of supporting the local community, be it through local charities such as the Hospice or the various local sports club. Given our staffs’ strong links to all the local schools, we felt that creating this bursary was a very befitting and important venture. At DFP Pension and Investment Consultants we work solely with the goal of helping our clients to plan and prepare for their future. A key part of this process is educating them on the various financial instruments available and how they impact them.
Allowing for the fact that we are a local business that operates in financial services we wanted to link this to the bursary and reward potential business students for their efforts. Given that “business” is a very broad spectrum this caters for a large number of students to apply. We look forward to supporting this bursary this year and over the next number of years”
We in De La Salle College would like to thank DFP for their kind donation and look forward to presenting the successful student with the bursary at the Awards Ceremony.
